BIOGRAPHY OF SUSHMA VERMA

Sushma Verma is an Indian cricketer who was born on November 3, 1992, in Shimla, Himachal Pradesh, India. She is a wicketkeeper-batter who made her debut for the Indian Women's cricket team in 2014.

Verma made her debut in international cricket during the 2014 Women's World Twenty20, which was held in Bangladesh. In her debut match, she scored an unbeaten 11 runs and had one catch and a stumping. She has played a crucial role in India's success in the T20 format, particularly in the 2016 Women's World Twenty20, where she was named the Player of the Match in the semi-final against West Indies.

In domestic cricket, Verma plays for Himachal Pradesh. She made her debut in the 2009-10 season and has been a regular member of the team since then. In the 2013-14 season, she scored 560 runs in the senior women's one-day tournament, which is the highest score by a wicketkeeper-batter in the history of the tournament.

Verma has also been a part of the Supernovas team in the Women's T20 Challenge, which is a T20 tournament played in India. She was the leading run-scorer for her team in the 2020 edition of the tournament.

Off the field, Verma holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from St. Bede's College, Shimla, and has also completed a diploma course in Sports Management.
